Rock & Roll Farming

Aug 2, 2017

Tonight I'm heading over the Irish Sea to County Laois to talk to farmer, blogger and writer Lorna Sixsmith.

We hear about her early life growing up on the family's farm, and how she learned to deal with multiple allergies including straw, grass and pollens.

We talk about her and Brian's life working away from farming in England, before their decision to return to Ireland to take over the family dairy farm from her Father together.

We talk about Lorna's highly successful blog and how one particular blog post led to her writing and self-publicising her first book 'Would You Marry A Farmer?', and how that led to two more and counting.

We also discuss women in farming, and how their role has changed so much in recent years, and the positive impact that continues to have on the industry as a whole.

Lorna's a wonderful ambassador for agriculture with her blogging, writing and farming business acumen, and it was a genuine pleasure to talk to her tonight.

Check it out folks..
